Students are getting continuous sweet news now due to coronavirus. After shutting schools until March 31, sources confirm until the ninth standard that all students get all pass without writing exams. The Tamil Nadu education department also postpones the remaining exams for the higher secondary students. The tenth board exams to start from March 27 may also be postponed to the latest news.
Today, March 19, morning, a review meeting was convened by the commissioner of the education department at DPI in Chennai.
A decision to postpone the remaining eleventh and twelfth higher secondary exams were taken. Also, the board exams for the tenth standard are to be postponed. Now the officials are working out the new dates for the postponed board exams. Also, a decision to give all pass to students until the ninth standard exams are under consideration by the officials. The decision of the review meeting will be sent to the education minister and, on his approval, will be made public.
All these decisions are due to the rapid spread of coronavirus around the world and in India. Now the death toll is four in India with a 69 years old man dying in Punjab. The total number of affected cases is 169. The schools are closed, and exams are postponed only for the reason that stage 2 of coronavirus in India to not go to stage 3.
It is the worst stage of transmitting community coronavirus. In other words, without being in contact with any virus affected persons from foreign countries, to get infected by contact with other local infected persons. And that will cause devastation like the rapid spread of infection that happened in China and Italy.
Hence as per the central and state government regulations, students and older adults should avoid going out of the house at any cost.
