Medical Colleges in Kallakurichi and Ariyalur: Funds Allocated

Funds allocated for new medical colleges in Kallakurichi and Ariyalur: Tamil Nadu government is giving due importance to the education of late, and a lot of initiatives are being taken. One of the initiatives is to have medical colleges in all districts to medical educate the aspirants. In Tamil Nadu, 24 medical colleges are under the control of the Tamil Nadu government. Put together, and there are 3350 medical seats.
Plans have been proposed to start new medical colleges in Tirupur, Neelagiri, Ramanathapuram, Namakkal, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Krishnagiri, Nagapattinam, and Tiruvallur. Indeed a welcoming initiative because aspirants have to relocate otherwise, which some students feel hassle even now as it would incur additional cost to parents for accommodation and other reasons.
In addition to the districts mentioned above, proposals are being sent to the Central Government seeking approval to start a medical college in Kallakurichi, Ariyalur, Kancheepuram, and Kadalur. Based on the request, the Ministry of Health approved the proposal to build medical colleges in Ariyalur and Kallakurichi. The process has gone to the extent of allocating funds to build the colleges.
For Kallakurichi, college RS 382 crore has been allocated, and for Ariyalur college RS 347 crore has been allotted. Just a year to go for elections, the Tamil Nadu government is taking various measures to attract the public and to prove its stability in giving reformation measures. Tried to instill Amma's rule is the best ever the people can get.
Many welfare measures are indeed good. Education and environment are being taken care of with recent measures. Tanjore belt will no longer be touched for any hydrocarbon related projects. To highlight, just a couple of days before, Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy has laid the foundation to open medical colleges in Ramanathapuram and Virudhunagar.
