S. J. Surya and Manoj Bharathiraja Join STR's Maanaadu Crew

Maanaadu is an upcoming and most expected Simbu's film directed by Venkat Prabhu. Bankrolled by Suresh Kamakshi, the film on boards cast updates to begin the shoot. Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the heroine of the movie pairing Simbu. Also, Bharathiraja, S.A. Chandrasekhar, and Premji play the lead roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music.
It is already reported that Simbu will be playing a Muslim character in the film. Director Venkat Prabhu has announced that Simbu is currently playing a Muslim character called Abdul Khaliq.
It is reported that Manoj Bharathiraja, son of actor Bharathiraja will be acting in this movie. Manoj Bharathiraja is a hero in films like Taj Mahal and Alli Arjuna. He has only appeared in a few films, and now he is going to star in Simbu's upcoming film Maanaadu. Notably, Manoj's father, Director Bharathiraja, is also in the film.
Also, director and actor S. J. Surya is reported to be joining the film. S. J. Surya, who appeared in the film as a villain in Mersal, is looking forward to playing the villain in Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu.
The shooting of the film is yet to begin in a few days. After completing a month-long shoot in Kovai, the crew will return to Chennai and retire for a few days and then return to Sri Lanka. The group is also planning a one and a half month non-stop shooting in Sri Lanka.
Actor Simbu's birthday was celebrated by his fans yesterday. Fans celebrated with posters and cutting cakes on the road for Simbu. Director Venkat Prabhu organized a party to celebrate Simbu's birthday, and he released a poster of their combo upcoming film Maanaadu.
