BTS Member Suga Apologizes for Drunk Driving Incident

BTS Suga

BTS member Suga wrote a public apology following an incident involving drunk driving. Suga, who is currently serving in the South Korean military, revealed that he was returning home late at night on an electric kickboard after consuming alcohol.

In his note posted on Weverse, Suga expressed deep regret for his actions. He explained that he had been unaware of the legal restrictions against operating an electric kickboard while under the influence.

Suga detailed that while setting up his kickboard near his home, he fell, leading to a police officer conducting a breathalyzer test. The result of the test led to the revocation of his license and a fine.

Suga's message read, "After drinking at the dinner table last night, I got home on an electric kickboard... In the process of setting up an electric kickboard at the front door of the house, I fell alone, and there was a police officer around me, so I took a breath test and found that my license was revoked and a fine was imposed."

In response to the incident, BTS’s management agency, BigHit Music, also issued a statement. “As a social service worker, he will receive appropriate disciplinary action from his employer for his behaviour. We will be more careful to prevent this from happening in the future. Thank you,” the statement read.

The agency emphasized its commitment to preventing similar incidents and maintaining high standards of responsibility. Fans and the public are urged to continue showing support as Suga and BigHit Music address the situation.
