Will Vijayendra Saraswati make apologize for insulting state song of Tamil Nadu, Tamil Thai Vazhthu
A function had been conducted in Chennai for the Tamil Sanskrit Dictionary on Wednesday. H. Raja, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Prohit and Vijayendra, Junior Abbot of Kanchi Sankara Mutt had been invited as a Chief Guest for the book release. State Anthem of Tamil Nadu (Tamil Thaai Vazhthu) and the National Anthem had been played before starting the introduction of the book. The Abbot had disgraced the State Anthem by sitting in his chair while all the personalities including Professor Solomon Papaiya, Governor and others stood off from his seat.
His action is been condemned by many people of Tamil Nadu as he insulted the state Anthem where he made a standing respect for the National Anthem. Vijayendra had grabbed enough tension of Tamil people through his action. Tamil Activists like Suba Veera Pandiyan, Ramadass Leader of PMK, Monk from Madurai Adhinam, Tamilaruvi Maniyan had proposed their strong opposition to the Abbot and they asked him to apologize for his action.
Tamilaruvi Maniyan said that this is now the first time the monks from Madurai sankara Mutt had disrespected Tamil. Even though their Mutt was in Tamil Nadu they consider the Sanskrit as their mother tongue and refuse to respect Tamil.
Vairamuthu also tweeted against the action of Vijayedra while he was already harassed by many monks from Tamil Nadu and monks from Nithyanandha ashram as he slandered Andal Naachiyar who has been considered as divine women poet of Alvars. The harassment still prolongs as he made his apologise for his undone thing.
Poet Vairamuthu tweeted as "தேசிய கீதம௠எனà¯à®ªà®¤à¯ தாயà¯à®¨à®¾à®Ÿà¯à®Ÿà¯ˆ மதிபà¯à®ªà®¤à¯ தமிழà¯à®¤à¯à®¤à®¾à®¯à¯ வாழà¯à®¤à¯à®¤à¯ எனà¯à®ªà®¤à¯ தாயà¯à®®à¯Šà®´à®¿à®¯à¯ˆ மதிபà¯à®ªà®¤à¯ இரணà¯à®Ÿà¯à®®à¯ சம அளவில௠மதிகà¯à®•à®ªà¯à®ªà®Ÿà®µà¯‡à®£à¯à®Ÿà®¿à®¯à®µà¯ˆ". It says "National Anthem is for respecting the nation, the State Anthem (Tamil Thaai Vazhthu) is respecting the language, both should be respected equally"
Following this, Sankara mutt had reported that the monks from the mutt has no habit of standing for Tamil Thai Vazhthu.
