Politicians And Social Activists Strongly Condemn Indian Coastal Guard Shooting On Fishermen

Fishermen hailed from Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu were shot by Indian Navy today while they were fishing at Bay of Bengal. This shocks the whole nation and Tamils. Usually Sri Lankan Navy gives troubles to Tamil Nadu fishermen. They have shot several fishermen to death and many of them get arrested and later will be released. They have confiscated the boats and nets of the fishermen.
But now the act of Indian Navy against Tamil fishermen is being severely condemned by several political leaders Vaiko, Naam Tamilar Seeman and social activists like Thirumurugan Gandhi.
Fishermen association have filed 3 cases against the Indian coast guard at the high court today. The injured fishermen have been treated for injuries. Indian coast guard repeatedly rejecting these claims and say "No fishermen had been fired upon by any CG ship in Palkbay. Further rubber bullets are not used by Indian Coast Guard Ships."
